Sewing Basics
with Maggie Pickett, Muskogee Campus

This class is for a beginner who wants to learn how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin, as well as gain a basic understanding of how the machine works. Ms. Maggie will teach you how to select the appropriate material for your sewing project, while showing you how to read, cut, and pin the fabric using a simple pattern. You will practice sewing on buttons, replacing zippers, hemming and other alterations. Come discover the joy of sewing by creating one garment and a few gifts along the way.
Class will not meet on October 19 due to it being Fall Break
Participants are required to bring their own sewing machine.
Stained Glass:Suncatchers

In this hands-on class, absolute beginners will learn how to cut, shape and assemble glass pieces using copper overlay detail and leave the class with a beautiful glass suncatcher. Required: Bring 4 sheets of different colored glass which you can purchase from Hobby Lobby or Amazon.
