Sewing Basics
with Maggie Pickett, Muskogee Campus

Our class is for a beginner who wants to learn how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin, as well as gain a basic understanding of how the machine works. Ms. Maggie will teach you how to select the appropriate material for your sewing project, while showing you how to read, cut, and pin the fabric using a simple pattern. You will practice sewing on buttons, replacing zippers, hemming and other alterations. Come discover the joy of sewing by creating one garment and a few gifts along the way.
Class will not meet on October 19 due to it being Fall Break
Participants are required to bring their own sewing machine.

Long-Term Care Nurse Aide (LTCNA) - Day

Our 80 hour class teaches you direct care skills needed to work in a variety of settings (nursing homes, hospitals, and assisted living facilites). It is a competency -based program that prepares you for the CNA certification exam. Stained Glass: Intro to Copper Foil

Discover the ancient art of stained glass design and construction in this beginner-friendly class. Begin your experience in stained glass by choosing your own glass for a large fleur-de-lies design. You will learn, cutting, grinding and shaping, foiling and saudering. No experience is required. You will be asked to bring your own purchased glass to the first class. Information will be sent by the instructor prior to the first class.
