Beginning Computers w/Microsoft Office
with Kristy Brown, Stilwell Campus
Learn to maneaver your way around a computer with basic computer terminology and definitions. Identify internal and external components of a computer, become comfortable with the keyboard and mouse and learn to navigate the Windows environment. Then choose which Microsoft office 2013 product you would like to learn in this blended computer class. Our experienced instructor will give each student hands-on experience using the software product of their choice while also introducing students to other microsoft office products. Please note students will certify in only one of three computer disciplins, of their choice, per class: Computer literacy with Windows, Word 2013, or Excel 2013.

This course is designed for both the "do it yourselfer" or the individual seeking a new career. Instruction will be provided for best practices to install ceramic tile in this hands-on course. Additional supply charges may apply.

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

This course prepares students to provide direct patient care in a long-term care nursing facility. This 80-hour course includes instruction in mental health, social needs, hygiene and safety. Students who complete the course are eligible to take the state CNA certification exam. The cost of the exam is included in the course cost. The class requires 100% attendance to continue in class. Students are required to wear scrubs (any color or print except red) and closed-toe shoes for the clinical portion of this course. Students who apply for this program must pass a background check, obtain a TB skin test, provide a government-issued photo ID, and social security card.
Digital Photography with Editing

Take pictures with purpose! Explore your camera's built-in settings, use basic photo editing to correct common errors, and add a little shine to your pictures. You will be allowed class time to take photos in this hands-on course.
Gain access to online resources including free editing software for personal use. Showcase your work in an art show (optional). NOTE: Your own digital camera and flash drive are required. Computers will be available during class time for photo editing.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

This class is the beginning of the Emergency Medical Service Program. In this class, the student will study and learn CPR; control of bleeding and fractures; heart attacks; strokes; diabetes; poisonings; burns; treatment of shock; splinting; seizures; radiation emergencies; vehicle extractions; psychiatric respiratory emergencies; radio communications; legalities; abdominal/central nervous system; communicable diseases; hazardous material; and clinicals. Clinical hours will include surgical departments, intensive care units, emergency room, and local EMS units. Approved by OSDH-EMS Division.
Pre-Requisits: HAZWOPER, NIMS 100,200,700, HCP-CPR, High school diploma or GED.
