Advanced CMA: Nasogastric/Gastrostomy/Respiratory

This course provides advanced training in the administration of medications via nasogastric and gastrostomy tubes, along with administration of oral inhalers and nebulizers. This class will include class time, skills lab and practical experience. Students must have a current CMA license before enrolling.

Arrowhead Making/Flint Knapping
with Adam Lageveen, Sallisaw Campus
A beginner's guide to the art of flint knapping (making stone tools). In this hands-on class students will be guided through the process of making spear points, arrow points, and a variety of other stone tools. Students will learn to use percussion and pressure flaking techniques. The instructor will also discuss both modern and ancient flint knapping technologies and how they related to each other.
Beginning Computers w/Microsoft Office

Learn to maneaver your way around a computer with basic computer terminology and definitions. Identify internal and external components of a computer, become comfortable with the keyboard and mouse and learn to navigate the Windows environment. Then choose which Microsoft office 2013 product you would like to learn in this blended computer class. Our experienced instructor will give each student hands-on experience using the software product of their choice while also introducing students to other microsoft office products. Please note students will certify in only one of three computer disciplins, of their choice, per class: Computer literacy with Windows, Word 2013, or Excel 2013.
