Come join Ms. LaDonna in learning the art of making different breads. You'll learn how to work with yeast, why breads rise or don't. She will teach you the way to shape dough, how to know when it's ready to bake, and how to keep loaves tender and light.

Canning & Fermenting
with Maggie Pickett, Muskogee Campus

Come prepared to learn the lost art of "putting food up" with Ms. Maggie in our 18 hour class. During the first class, time is provided to purchase materials necessary for your canning project. Bring those treasured family recipes, select one then learn pressure and water bath canning and fermenting. Ms. Maggie also brings her own recipe books, items such as mustard seeds and some of her owned canned items to share. Each participant leaves with the knowledge of the different canning methods and a jar of their own canning.

Stained Glass: Suncatchers

Come join Ms. Rhonda in making a colorful sun catcher. During this class, you will cut, foil, and solder a 3-6 piece sun catcher sure to beautify any window in your home.
Required: Bring 4 sheets of different colored glass, which you can find at Hobby Lobby.
Podcasting Intro: The New Broadcasting
with Greg Mashburn, Muskogee Campus

In this introduction to podcasting you will find a complete overview of the podcasting landscape. You will dive into details such as, selecting the right recording equipment and microphones, an introduction to editing software, planning your content, recording, editing and posting your first episode.
Required: A basic knowledge of computers is necessary.
Sewing Basics
with Maggie Pickett, Muskogee Campus

Join Ms. Maggie to learn the fundamentals of sewing. You will learn from the simplest of things such as threading a needle, basic sticthes, fabric cutting, replacing zippers, hemming and more. You will also learn to create a few simple projects such as an apron while gaining an understanding of your sewing machine. Ms. Maggie will be in touch prior to the beginning of class with more information.
Required: Sewing machine and materials such as needles, thread, scissors, etc.
