This course will provide the student with the theory and basic knowledge of pharmacy information systems, regulatory, legal, and ethical considerations, drug conversions and calculations, pharmacology and medications, terminology, and other skills necessary to perform as a pharmacy technician under supervision of a licensed pharmacist and to be prepared to sit for the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam. Requirement: Career-Ready 101 score – Math 4, Reading 5, Workplace Observation 3. Prerequisites: High school diploma or GED.
