Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

This course prepares students to provide direct patient care in a long-term care nursing facility. This 80-hour course includes instruction in mental health, social needs, hygiene and safety. Students who complete the course are eligible to take the state CNA certification exam. The cost of the exam is included in the course cost. The first 16 hours requires 100% attendance to continue in class. Students are required to wear scrubs (any color or print except red) and closed-toe shoes for the clinical portion of this course. Students who apply for this program must pass a background check, obtain a TB skin test, provide a government-issued photo ID, and social security card.

CPR: BLS Healthcare Provider

For healthcare providers, professional rescuers and laypersons. This course includes adult, infant, and child CPR, plus AED training. To obtain your CPR card you must pass both written and performance tests.

Learn patient rights, legal and ethical behaviors and how to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and families. Learn infection control measures and how to provide client safety with psychosocial and ADL skills. TB skin test, social security card, government photo ID, and current CNA card required.
