The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Prep for the CNA certificaion exam. Learn to provide direct patient care in a long-term care nursing facility. Requirements: 100% attendance, background check, proof of TB skin test, government photo ID and social security card. Costs for the skills and written exams are included.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches participants to provide first aid, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.

Prerequisites: proficient in reading, speaking and understanding English, high school diploma or GED, current CNA card with CNA work experience (6 months at least), proof of TB skin test, social security card, and government photo ID. Covers all the skills a certified Phlebotomy tech needs, including venipuncture, safety and biohazards. Prepares you for the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) exam. Skill labs include a minimum of 40 live draws. Most will be conducted with volunteers during class, but ICTC will also schedule you for 8 to 16 hours of clinical time in area hospital labs and medical facilities. If you currently work at a healthcare facility, you may also complete live draws on the job at your employer's facility.
